Американские адвокаты отказались защищать Илана Шора после внесения его в санкционный список, передает Инфотаг со ссылкой на сообщение американской юридической компании «Dechert», которая представляла интересы молдавского депутата.
«Мы больше не представляем г-на Шора и не представляли его с момента введения санкций», - заявил адвокат Роджер Берлингейм, которого цитирует издание Reporter.london.
У самой компании появились юридические проблемы - в США против «Dechert» возбуждено уголовное дело. Компанию обвиняют в использовании хакеров для незаконного получения информации, мошенничестве и отмывании денег. Компания не признает себя виновной и обвинения отрицает.
Министерство финансов США 26 октября объявило о включении в список Магницкого политиков Влада Плахотнюка и Илана Шора, а также ряд афиллированных им компаний и нескольких российских политтехнологов. Санкции предусматривают жесткие ограничения, которые варьируют в разных странах.
