На прошедших 16 октября досрочных местных выборах в ряде сел избиратели проголосовали против кандидатов от правящей партии PAS, контролируемой Майей Санду. 

Выборы примаров прошли в селе Сэлкуца, Каушанского района; в комуне Ялпужень, Чимишлийского района и в комуне Браниште, Рышканского района. 

В селе Сэлкуца и комуне Ялпужень победители определились с первого тура. Ими оказались представители Либерально-демократической партии (Сэлкуца) и Партии социалистов (Ялпужень). 

В комуне Браниште пройдет второй тур выборов. В первом туре выиграл кандидат от Демпартии (44,66%). На втором месте кандидат от PAS с результатом в 28,02% голосов.
